About us

Long before “green” entered the vocabulary of manufacturing and packaging, a first-generation American with a pushcart introduced a new idea to New York’s Lower East Side that would convert a small, but critical item of manufacturer and wholesaler waste into a growing business.

Nearing its 80th year of operation, Paper Tube & Core, Inc. is the industry leader in the Northeast, and one of the few that is exclusively dedicated to reprocessing paper tubes and cores. The company handles 6 million pounds of cores per year, growing at a rate of 10% annually, while reducing the costs and carbon footprints of packaging, textile, plastics and paper companies by recovering, reconfiguring, and returning to market the industrial paper tubes and cores that are critical to roll manufacturing.

From its’ newly expanded 30,000 square foot production facility in Paterson, New Jersey, PT&C services small and large manufacturers worldwide, including many Fortune 500 companies. An efficient and lean operation of close to 20 employees, PT&C provides quick turnaround and delivery — often within one day — of custom-cut products.

Quality Control — 3-Point Inspection Process
The PT&C 3-Point Inspection Process insures that customers’ needs are always met with the highest quality tubes and cores.  Cores are inspected in our sorting areas, at our cutting stations and in our packaging department prior to delivery to the customer.  All tubes and cores are checked for smoothness and roundness, and to be sure that they are free of contaminants.

PT&C cores are used by manufacturers and converters of film, paper and textiles, using the latest machinery. You can be assured that our cores will meet your needs for any application.

Paper Tube & Core’s efforts have resulted in an average cost savings of 25% while simultaneously supporting Eco-Friendly efforts that have become primary features of corporate marketing and positioning initiatives.
